alrite. today i was driving in the parking lot at the mall. and i found a parking and got out of the car. i turned and there was this trail of coolant that had dripped from my car the entire drive :mad: . the drainage plug thing from the bottom of the radiator had loosened or sumthin cuz thats where the coolant was leaking from. when i went to tighten it it just tightened a little more and the clicked and was loose again. u know. it would only thread so far and then be non-threated. i called pepboys and the dude was like, "u need a new radiator." and then i called napa and the chick said, "u can buy a push in plug or a new threaded plug." she also said that it is possible that i need a new radiator. i have the car parked at my uncles cuz he lives right by the mall, so dont worry about me driving it. i just wanted to know sum of the f-body's experts openions.

Re: ANOTHER coolant system problem
heh
epoxy FTW!
Just be aware that there is 18+ psi of pressure pushing out!
(liquid and/or gas form)
I got ghetto riggin skillz like a mofo, boi, you dunno son
Maybe you could just put some gasket-maker or RTV or silicone
(high temp kind) on the threads THEN screw it in. fixed
let it dry
and DONT forget to bleed, Always bleeeedLast edited by slow6; 03-29-2007, 06:41 PM.2k2 camaro, K&N, SLP whisper lid, Konis, AEM, HP Tuners, Angel eyes/Halos, CF SS ram air hood, 4.10s, Zexel Torsen, UMI SFCs, CrossFire, BFGs, Gatorback, Catco, Flows, and TLC! DONT feed the Trolls!

Re: ANOTHER coolant system problem
welll the plug was definately ONE of the problems. but u know how theres a spout that stix out by where the plug goes in? well i have coolant leaking out of that too. so im going to get this mechanic that i know to put the strongest leak/crack stuff to seal everything up until i can afford a new radiator.

Re: ANOTHER coolant system problem
if he is putting pellets in your system, he's dumber than you. those things are crap, do not fix leaks and cause some really good clogging problems. :)
