well i thought my car was fixed after i replaced the maf but after a few days it started missing and sputtering on heavy accel. and low reverse accel. ive replaced fuel filter, maf, map and was tuned up last summer...whats wrong with my car?? btw i also got a cut out on my exhaust if that has anything to do with it.

    Re: ah damn

you need to be more specific with what's considered a "tune-up." Some shops will just replace your plugs and call it a day...others will replace nearly every ignition component and filter

and remember, if you pay a shop to do the plugs they are likely to (half @$$) it and "forget" to do some. expecally in a 4th gen f body. are there any codes????????????????????????

bad luck can make it go bad or something getting through the filter and damaging the wires, who knows what happens to some of these electronics

i have a "chrome intakes" cold air intake... think i should go back to stock intake or stick to my cold air intake? i looked at the bad maf i didnt see anything that appeared to be wrong with it as far as the prones on the sensor or the prones inside the cylinder part of it

is there a difference in maf screen and maf sensor? i have the new part installed if thats what u mean...and as far as wires go it looks like 11 year old wires i mean a lil dirty of course but nothing to appear to be bad

                    Re: still sputtering

maf screen is the screen that goes in the front of your throttlebody. it is a metal waffle looking circle

no I was asking if you took it out or not, you can look to see if it is damaged though I guess.

How do you know your sensor is bad again?
