What all is needed to convert to LT1? (URGENT HELP NEEDED)!
Yes the engine will fit, it came as an option that year. Just get the engine and tranny together with the computer and full wiring harness and it should be a really easy job for you. Oh yeah, V8 springs/shocks would be a good idea too.

If he's parting out the entire car try and get as much as possible that deals with the engine. You may need a new bellhousing for the tranny since the 3.4 is a 60* engine with a different bolt pattern. I did just read that the 3.4 and 3.8 are the same bolt pattern don't know if it's true or not. Anyway, try and get everything like PCM and all that from the same car, tranny might be a good idea too if it's an auto and you are too.

A lot more than you think. Call Scott at www.speedautomotive.com , as he has done LT1 and LS1 swaps.
