When we bought the Firebird in June it came with a bent door key that still had the metal punch out in the hole for the ring.
I was just at the Chevy dealer getting an oil change, and showed the key to the service advisor. He looked at it and showed it to another guy, who said that it didn't have the cut to punch it out.
When I asked about what to do, they both mumbled something about how another one wouldn't come with that, and I explained that I wanted one without it. He then said that a new one could come with one that was stuck in too (no ****!).
He took out his key ring to show me, and when he noticed that none of his keys had a stuck insert he said something about how they were old keys.
Is something like this really not covered under warranty, or does the Chevy dealer just not want to bother with a Pontiac?
