  • Clunking noise? Tranny?

    Hey Guys:

This just started happening on my 99 camaro with 160k miles. When I am above 30-40 mph and slow down to a stop. At about 15 mph I always here a "CLUNK" under the car. The car accelerates and deaccelerates smoothly except for the clunk that happens under the car at 15 mph.

Is this a transmission problem?? My car is stock with no mods. If I am going real slow say 25 mph and slow down very slowly it may not happen but if I'm going faster and braker harder at 15 mph the clunk is louder and more noticeable.

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks

If I stay at 15 mph I will not hear the clunk its only when i'm coming to a stop that the clunk happens when the speedometer needle comes down to 15 mph then goes to 10, 5 mph, and 0...
