i have a friend with a 96 3.8 and i noticed while his heater is on full heat it's like a damn sauna.. but when mine's on it's not even that hot.. dont get me wrong it gets pretty warm but the difference from mine to his is tremendous.. ive heard of people tuning up their ac/heater.. is this common for 3.4 to be just "pretty warm" or is there a way i can tune it up a notch?

make sure you have the stock 195* thermostat. also, i suggest flushing the coolant and use Dexcool. -

i had a 160 thermo in my 93 and it sucked during the winter. i learned my lesson on that one when i was freezing going to school in the morning.98 Camaro V6Comment

My dad had this problem recently on his Blazer. Ended up being the thermostat. It just for some reason went bad. We also flushed the coolent and refilled it with Dexcool.Comment

besides checking the thermostat, flush the heater core. no need to remove it, just disconnect the lines and flush with the hose in the opposite direction of normal coolant flow.Comment
