I went to a junk yard to get some coils because i'm in college and i'm trying to save some money. I could only find one firebird and no camaros that are the same year. But the firebird someone has already taken the hood and the coils are all wet and i don't want to take those and have them not work so my question is Can I use coils out of a pontiac boniville with the same 3.8l engine?
    thanks.

i honestly couldn't answer that question. but coils total only like $60 and is a snap to change. id say just get new coils, it'd be the better way to go and more of a garuntee to work. if they dont you can take them back, vs. getting junkyard ones wont be garunteed or anything.

      Where are they $60?

you could find cheap ones on ebay...I found Summit (MSD replica) were not much more at all than new stock ones..

I got mine from autozone. might have been a little more than $60, but not too sure since I bought tools and so forth with them.

Duralast brand at autozone are $24 each...you can get Summit Coils for $32 each, and I'm sure AC Delco's are more than $32 each

I’m new. I actually don’t own a Camaro or firebird. I do have a 2000 Camaro 3.8 fly by throttle and 4l60e. This is installed in a 1980 Triumph TR7...
