I just got home from a friends house and on the way home every time i hit a bump, I heard a noise come from the drivers side top. I pulled over in a parkign lot and locked the tops (with the key to see if that would fix it). It still made the noise. the noise (as far as i could tell) was coming from the plastic area of the top that goes along the window. It sounded sorta like if you took a CD case and hit it against the cheep plastic that's everywhere in these cars, only every time i hit a bump. Could this be a problem? Wouldnt' surprise me considering I think my rotars warped too. Looks like I won't be gettin that Borla I've been savin for any time soon...

I have that same problem and it anoys the hell outta me. I figured out that it is the t top rubbing against the roof of the car but i cant figure out how to stop the noise.
I haven't had this problem yet, but I'd try 2 things if it were me
1) I'd take off that plastic cover on the handle mechanism to see if anything was loose or damaged.
2) I'd try moving the t-top around and see if it wiggles or moves. if it is getting loose you could get new seals or apply some felt around the edges (inside the lip that the tops slides into) to firm up the mount some more.
I have the same problem and i tried #1 the second it happened, nothign in there that's loose. and as far a #2 the t-top itself is soild and does nto move, but somethign has to be hitting togetrher
Come to think of it, it was pretty cold that night (my car was starting to ice over just sitting in the driveway). Do you think this could be because of something either contracting b/c of the cold or maybe some rubber or similar material getting stiffer in the cold? Oh well, it's late and I have nothing better to do than try to figure this out from the comfort of my computer...

i have the same prob, the only way to solve it is armoral everything real good, all the weather stripping and plastic around the ttops and anything that it touches on the frame, solves it everytime! good luck,
