Identify this hose... por favor!!

Help...

I believe this to be heater core related or radiator related but i want another opinion...

I did this today in the rain and had to sit for two hours...

:cry: Bad day, made even worse. :cry:

What do you guys believe this hose to be? Where can i get it? How much, estimate? What wouldv'e made this happen.

My tranny has a slip between 2nd and 3rd and right before this hose popped apart, i was riding it pretty hard... Related? I'm getting my transmission rebuilt in about a week so i wasnt really very worried about it...

P.S. I'm having a shifter kit installed when i get my tranny rebuilt. What do you guys suggest? My car is a '96 3.8 camaro convertible.

yeah, that goes to the heater core, i dont have the parts catalog, so i dont have a part number, but a dealer could get it in about 10 seconds

yea, it goes from the heater core to the water pump (or vice versa)

Thats what i originally thought, just wanted to confirm my fears. Ex told me that it was probably gunna run me $160-170 just for the part...

Excuse my ignorance does this look like normal wear and tear or should i be looking for something that may have cause it? Hmm, somehow my to-do-list for my lil convy gets longer and longer... daily...

I'm really freaking out because this means i have to drive my mom's '98 Dodge Ram 1500 V8, which takes like $20 to put a quarter a tank of gas in, and burns gas seemingly as quick as it goes in. Guess my *** will set at home a WHOLE lot more until i get this problem fixed, huh?

Average price for that part is $150. It is an assembly, when I first got my maro, I purchased one only to realize that there are O-rings in there and I was missing them.

I replaced that hose on my bird. Go to gmpartsdirect.com and I believe I got it for less than 100 shipped. It cost an additional 100 to have dealer swap it in cause I couldn't get to it. Theres a bolt down around the wheel well area that I didn't have tools to remove so I had to take it to dealer.

I had to replace those hoses on my 97 camaro about two years ago. The bolt down below, I believe takes a star or torax bit, and is a real pain to get to. I actually went to Autozone and got a replacement bolt with a standard head on it to make reinstall easier. The part cost me about $150-$160 at the Cheverolet parts place here in town. I looked everywhere else and nobody else carries it. As far as I know the only option is the GM replacement. It was also a real pain getting the stock GM hose connections undone by the firewall.

Just be glad she didn't opt for the V10. I've had to drive my dad's 2500 V10 SC LB a few times and i swear that thing gets like 5-6 mpg.

I just replaced this hose last week. I bought a used one for $40 shipped from T/A Creations out of ft. lauderdale, they have a website.
P.S. Use an allen key to get the screw out and replace it with something easier

Does anyone know the part number for this hose? Mine just went at 215,000 miles and I cannot read the numbers on the hose.

Nappa carries it for about $80. Don't know the part # of hand.

Found the GM part number, 19257179 also they are on ebay for 164.95, free shipping. Couldnt find it on Napa's website but for 80 bucks I will look again.
