Fried my Ignition Module

Well the shop wants $400 to replace my ignition module. Is this resonable? Does the MSD DIS-4 come with a new module? If it does I'll spend my $400 installing that :) Is the module easy to replace??? Thanks for the help

The MSD DIS-4 does not come with a ignition control module. $400 is rediculous for that item.

Yea, definatley ridiculous. I beleive you can pick one up for around $100 or so bucks. It's very easy to swap out the ICM. It's directly under your MSD Coil Packs (it's what your coil packs connect to), take it out and plug the new one in. You'll save yourself about $300 more dollars. Just make sure that the ICM is your problem.

Let me know if you need one bro. I have an extra and I don't even have a 3.4. Shoot me an email and we'll work something out. First make sure it's your ICM. Take it to Autozone and have them test it. It's like a 20 min job to swap.

Update: I didn't mess up my ICM it was one of my coils. I guess that why the shop got made when I told them to wait and I'd replace the coil my self. They get away with the BS this time.
