Ok my dad and i think this is really wierd.

We changed the plugs and wires on my 96 camaro yesterday. they were rather difficult to get at. Anyway, we got them all changed and everything and it seemed to start up ok, but when i would take off, in first gear it would run great, but when it hit second gear it started missing like REALLY bad. (on NEW wires!)

come to find out that the wires have to be on a certain way. ??? I thought that wires we bidirectional???? We just thought that was really wierd and i just had to share dat wit ya'll....

Use dielectric grease. Apply it generously to the plug boots. Press the boots onto the plugs very firmly and make sure they're down all the way.

          Yo, they were already pregreased.

Maybe it was because they are Opti-Spark(O'reilly house brand)???

I dunno, but we had three of em switched and it was missing. Horribly.

But when we switched them around they worked just fine. I dunno. I just thought it was wierd.
