I have a 3.8. One of my injectors went bad, so I changed all of them out because I've heard that if one goes bad, the others are close behind (anyone else heard this?). Anyway, I used regular borg-warners from pep boys. Does anyone know what the difference (if any) would have been if I used accels, MSDs, etc? I didn't want to risk buying the wrong ones, because these brands have different flow rates, and I didn't know which one would be ok for my car. Don't you need a better fuel pump and some kind of forced induction to use these? Or are regular injectors fine for the 3.8s?

I was also wondering if anyone knew of a company that would buy used injectors (to remanufacture them).

    Thanks

If no serious mods on vehicle(ie. camming etc.)stock injectors (borgs in this case) are the best replacement. If you do put on injectors with higher flow rate the stock pump would be OK but no reason to because an engine without some internal mods. won't need the higher rate of inj. flow.As to if one inj. goes bad the rest will follow, thats not allways the case.Look in the post that says something like:"A must have for anyone who work on their own vehicles".It gives a link to buy an inj. tester for a very reasonable 20$.This will give a way to tell if an indivdual inj. is bad ,& you probably would find out all were not bad.BTW the post is by "Slow to go3.4".I'd dont know if anyone would buy the old ones but they are sometimes rebuildable.

I have a new problem now. When I start the car, I have to mash the gas to get it going. Then, when I start out in first, the car hesitates for about two to three seconds before it goes. It does this again when it shifts into second. Everytime I start and go it does this, but only for about the first twenty minutes of driving. It also only does this when I let it sit for a long time. Any ideas?

Im not getting a light, and I had the pressure tested on the new injectors and they were fine.
What was the electrical problem that you had? Im thinking a coil...possibly.

Are you talking about one of the pigtails for the fuel injectors? I would like to know, because my coils wires and plugs are all new (I just replaced the coils with MSD) and Im still getting the same problem. Im also noticing that the throttle will get stuck for a couple of seconds in first gear. Anyone had this type of problem?

My bird now shuts off while I'm driving. Brings up the check gauges light. I took it to a mechanic and he said there is nothing wrong with it, even though it stalled for him. How'd they fix your car?? I'm about ready to sell the damn thing if I can't get it fixed soon.

Im still trying to figure mine out to. I tried changing the O2 sensor, and it helped a little, but the problem is still there. The problem is, im not getting any codes.
