why are you guys using 5W-30 when it specifically says in both your manual and on the oil cap to use 10W-30. I dont get it. Are you the same kind of people who put 87 octaine in a GN or GTP and assume its OK?

If it routinely gets below zero, then 5W30 is a good idea accoring to the manual. :D

Price does not always dictate quality. One of the best oil and filter brands on the market is none other than SuperTech, the Wal-Mart brand. This is straight from a lubrication engineer, who runs almost 5 dozen oil-change shops In FL. It is one of the best brands, as it is made directly by one of the best name brand oil parts manufactures. I want to say Purolator, but I might have the name confused.

And another tid-bit that got me: Fram sucks. Apparently in the past decade then plummeted from the top after being sold off. I was an avid Fram user until that information got to me.

Personally, I like using 5w30 Valvoline Maxlife. It works pretty well.

For a filter I use ACDelco. It has a lot more filter in it than Fram does.

                        Just my 2 cents.

I use 10w30 and AC Delco filters. The only advantage of synthetic is at the start up, because of the film left on the cyclider walls. With proper care, such as air filter replacement, regular oil changes, you will get plenty of miles out of your motor. In fact, the body will probably wear out first
