I have a 96 Camaro. It came stock with the 195* thermostat in it. I upgraded to a 180* because my stock one went bad. It seemed to hurt my mileage a little. My question is if i upgrade to a 160* will it hurt my mileage and if so how much?

How are your winters in Al? What are you trying to acheive with the 160? Do you have a jet chip or some other mod that has advanced your timing? I had a 160 in my car when I lived in SC and the winters never got too cold but the 160 never gave me enough heat in the car, especially with a convertible. I did not notice any difference b/w the 160 or 180, even with the Jet Chip.
It has been a while since I bought my 180...who is still selling them?Joel
God is my copilot, but Satan has his foot on the gas!
94 3.4L AutoCamaroRagtop w/MSD ignition,Accelcoilpacks,K&N FIPK,BMR SFC&STB,3\"Catco w/3\"catbackSS muffler,JetStage 2,HomemadePIAAheadlightconversion http://www.geocities.com/cardiac1968
