  • Identify the part!!

There is a cylindrical thingymabob on the underside of the car, right below the horns. It seems to have a vacuum nipple on it, what is it? what connects to it?

I knew that was coming. I did take pics last night, when I get home I'll upload them. Can't attach files from my treo, I was just hoping maybe if I pinpointed it, someone may know.

I had to reduce the picture to that size. It wouldn't let me upload a higher quality picture, unless I did something wrong. I will try to upload it again.

                        Re: Identify the part!!

If I am not mistaken it may be your vacume tank. Mine (97 Camaro) was on the passenger side up front near the horns. There was a vacume tube that came from the check valve near the firewall and attached to the tank and the tank had another nipple that nothing was attached to.

I found after two new front ends from collisions that the guys at my chevy dealer did not re-attach mine, they actually cut my vac hose where the front end came off! I ordered the new vacume tube and attached it, but did not really notice any difference.
