I've had my 96 RS for 10,000 miles. I took it in to a mechanic because I could tell that the throwout bearing was going bad. He just called me back and said that the master cylinder was going bad as well and a belt had to be replaced. The clutch will probably be replaced as well since they will already be working on the tranny so it's going to run me over 1,000 bucks . Does this mean that the guy that had the car before me drove the piss out of it? I has 68,000 miles on it. Should I get rid of it before anything else happens and buy a different car?
