How can you tell if your motor mounts are shot besides getting under the car and inspecting them? Would the car drive different or something like that?

Well it shakes whenever I try to get on it...But not alot when im just cruising, but when it idles I have noticed that it shakes alittle and its never done it before. Im guessing its my motor mounts because I just replaced my tranny mount because something felt like it was hitting the bottom of my car.
