    Has anyone had any luck with the Fuel Press Reg swap? Did it work?

            Re: Hard Starting issue

            Well, I changed my fuel filter yesterday and I didn't notice any difference. I busted a$$ today before work to change my fpr. It worked, runs and starts like a champ.

              Is there a how-to on replacing the fpr? I've looked at it and can't see how it comes out.

                  Re: Hard Starting issue

                  I used this guide to remove the fuel rail:
                  http://www.fullthrottlev6.com/forums...ad.php?t=22463

                  Only difference is that I didn't need to remove the vacuum lives from the map sensor. I just pushed it back out of the way. You'll need some snap ring pliers to remove and install the fpr.

                      which FPR and O-rings?

                      (I have a 2000 Camaro)

                      I noticed that there are several FelPro fuel injector O-ring kits available. Prices are from Advance:

                      - FelPro ES70599 for $2.68 per 4/pk, (need 3 packs total = $8)

                      - Fel Pro ES71190 Fuel Injection O-Ring Set: With Mfi; Lower Set (Injectors To Cylinder Head) 2 Per Car Quantity $5.88 per 3/pk

                      - Fel-Pro ES71192 Fuel Injection O-Ring Set: With Mfi; Upper Set (Injectors To Fuel Rail); 2 Per Car Quantity $4.94 per 3/pk

                      To do it with the cheap FelPro o-rings, using the same o-ring for both top and bottom, it would only cost $8

                      but since FelPro does make those other kits too it leads me to believe we should be using 2 different o-rings for the top and bottom of the injectors. Going this route costs $22 ...for o-rings WTF

                      Also I am really confused which FPR I should order.

                      It appears GP Sorensen and Standard make FPR's to match these 3 OEM part #'s. Its not like they advertise the flow or anything so how do I know the differences and which one I want?

                        I didn't take the injectors off the rail. You don't need to. I just bought the lower o-rings.

                          Rockauto, Autozone, and other places mainly carry the various brands of the 17113346 Fuel Pressure Regulator. (Standard PR207 is a 17113346)

                          Rockauto does have an AC Delco FPR for a pretty good price. Has completely different part #'s tho:
                          ACDELCO Part # 2171598 {#89017530}
                          REGULATOR KIT,FUEL PRESS
                          $37.79

                          Y'all think this is needed too or is it included with any FPR? non-stock item.
                          ACDELCO Part # 17113393
                          SEAL KIT,FUEL PRESS REG
                          * Non-stock item--shipping delayed up to 12 business days *
                          $8.20

                          Rockauto also has a AC Delco injector seal kit:
                          ACDELCO Part # 2171427 {replaces 17113400 #12570621}
                          SEAL KIT,M/PORT F/INJR INCLS (8) UPPER & LWR SEALS
                          $8.37
                          I wonder if that is 8 upper + 8 lower o-rings, or if it is 8 total o-rings = 4 upper + 4 lower.

                          Ah, may as well replace them all while I'm down there. As I think about it too it would probably be wise to use the best fitting o-rings and not the generic size kit, especially when the cowl can dump rainwater on the engine and all... wouldn't be good if it started sucking water through the injector holes and all.

                              did it come with any necessary seals, or am I going to find I need more parts when I have everything ripped apart?
