  • LT1 Altenator

    will an LT1 or LS1 altenator work with our 3.8's? would it bolt up the same?
    White 1998 Firebird M5, Suncoast WS6 hood, Chrome 18\" C5\'s, beaver tail wing, 2 15\" Kicker Comp VR\'s, ect.

    Why would you want to? Just because it's off the V8 car doesn't make it better. Off the top of my head, our cars came with a higher amperage output alternator anyway most years.

      Won't fit. The LT1 is physically larger.

        Incorrect.... V6's came with 105 amp alternators and V8's came with 140 amp alternators.
