  • a/c eliminator

    real quick, is there an a/c eliminator bracket for a '97 3.8 v6? i know other's have one, just wanting one myself.

        Found this one, it is for grand prix's but they have the same engine, so it might be possible to use it on our cars as well. Not positive though

        http://intense-racing.com/ also has the same thing and has a note saying it works on fbody cars as well, some will need a spacer between bracket.

          thanks man, yeah just a second ago i found that one on intense racing. so i went searching for the one for grand prix's. couldn't find the site for some odd reason, but thanks for giving me the link. :D

            I removed my a/c, switched my idler pulley to a grooved one, and am running the belt for the non a/c cars. Works just fine.

              by idler you mean the a/c idler pulley? if so i might check into doing that instead. that could be why there isn't an eliminator for our cars... hahaha, thanks for that info dawizman.

                do what i did, remove your a/c and just get a smaller belt.

                  that is what i plan on doing... but the idler pulley, did you put a grooved one in it's place? i can get a grooved one, and a smaller belt.

                          well that makes sense, i've already looked at a set up if i put on an electric water pump... but until then... if that even happens lol.
