  • G/N Injectors

Searched and didn't find anything solid. Will the Grand National fuel injectors fit our cars, specifically a 2000 3.8? TIA

They are a saturated type with a resistance of 12 ohms if that'll help you tell me.

reason I asked what style pins is cuz usually 00+ guys have to get the wire adaptors from zzp in order to upgrade injectors

I posted the question over at FTV6 and I got some solid answers from them too. In short no they won't direct fit without rewiring or an adapter like you said. Not worth the trouble to me. I'm just looking for bolt on's not refabricate or reengineer. Thanks for your help.

Thanks I'm gonna need it. Finally trying to start the build I posted about 5 months ago so it's gonna be slow going. As I start getting into her more I will start posting up the progress.

Yeah just trying to do the buildup as cheaply as possible. Used ones in good condition that I can just change out the o rings will be far less than new. I'm just trying to save buying new of anything for last resort. I'm a cheap SOB!

                      Re: G/N Injectors

what I did is I went with GTP injectors that were 50 bucks shipped and 36#

you having a new car though will still need the wiring adaptors from zzp

Do you know the type of injectors I have for a 2000 3.8? Is there a list of compatibles that I could purchase? If I got some from a 2000 grand prix those should be good right?

                          Re: G/N Injectors

you have the multitec ones that have a different pinout than the GTPs from 97-03. I think the 04 l32 cars came with ones that you can directly swap into yours, but not positive on that. Best way to find that out would be going to clubgp.com and searching that forum as it is the grand prix mega forum. That is where I got my injectors from also

Ok and if don't get ones that plug in I need to use a adaptor? I just looked through zzp and didn't see anything, can you point me in the right direction? Just when I thought I knew everything, lol

edit, I see now. thanks for the help again.

Solution from my research is this. May be a good thing to add for future peeps.

Get injectors from a late model truck with a 4.8, 5.3 or 6.0, multec 2 injectors rated at like 48# @ 58psi give or take, my memory sucks. Get a pre 2000 fuel rail and bingo. The fuel rail is to compensate for the diff in height or you could cut down and weld what is there. The injectors will snap in and then all you need to go is get the comp tuned for it.
