My service engine light has been on for a couple of days. I had a little less than a 1/4 tank left so I got gas before I went to work. I put 93 octain in. The light turned off. Any reason why it would have done that? I usual run 87 and never have a problem. Could I have just gotten a bad tank?

I don't know but I had the worse case of bad gas eva. 10.00 in the tank and I swear it was like I has water in my car. I would press on the pedal and everything sounded right but my car was going nowhere fast! The RPM's and everything were fine, but nothing was moving! I was outraged and I drove all day to push that shi( out of my car, as SOON as I got low, I placed gas treatment in there and new gas from my regular place.....no problems since. Good way to test, is when the light goes on and their is a car place on the side of the road get it tested...
If they use the orange(I think Actron Scanner) they might need the code showing, can't search the memory. Sometimes codes will disapear when you shut the car off and put it back on. So leave it running and take your door key with you.(lock your car so no one steals it)Comment
