  • TPS sensor bad?

I was checking my Throttle position sensor this weekend, and everything checked out ok, except for one thing... When the sensor is at WOT, the TPS only shows 4.14 volts. Is this bad? I've spoken to a GM tech, and he says it sounds a little low, but is still in spec. Wondering what everyone here thinks. Should I replace it?

if this is still in specs, it's fine. the pcm has "learned" by now that WOT for this particular vehicle is at 4.14 vdc, and it reacts accordingly. you'll see an engine light if tps values are out of range.
you may want to check ref voltage from pcm to see if you're getting 5vdc there to isolate supply voltage problems from sensor problems.
