Life of Brake rotors?

Hey just wondering whats the life of brake rotors?

I have a 2000 with 40,266 miles. I am on the factory original brakes and the pads were getting pretty thin a few months ago and the dealer said they are almost dead now.

Question is how long could I expect the stock rotors to last? I am relatively rough on the brakes but they aren't warped. So what are your thoughts?

I replaced all of my rotors at around 60k. The fronts were getting warped, and I took them to a local shop to get them re-cut. They denied the rotors saying that they weren't thick enough to cut down. I forget what the micrometer said, but it was too thin to have shaved.
