I have seen several maintenence issues on the board about replacing O2 sensors. I have 55,000 miles on a '97 A4. What exactly are the pros to replacing them...?

Generally the rule is to replace them every 100K, unless they go bad before then. Trust me, it's not something to look forward to. The one in the passenger's side exhaust manifold is a royal PITA......2000 3.8L Firebird, Silver Metallic<br /><br />\"Yes, London. You know, fish, chips, cup o\' tea, bad food, worse weather, Mary f***in\' Poppins, London!!\"
