    http://forum.camarov6.com/showthread.php?t=78524

I've been asking a lot of questions lately but I just can help but notice things about my car and since I don't know much about cars, I have no clue where to start to fixing the problem.

I kind of asked the question in the post above, but now I've been reading more and wondering about it. My car actually feels sluggish, I mean I've never driven a v6 firebird before so I don't know if that just how they drive, or if something is wrong. I've driven my moms chevy equinox v6 with 185 hp and it weighs a lot more then my firebird, and it feels like it accelerates a lot better then mine. I drove a ford escort for almost two years before my firebird and I feel like sometimes that car was better on pickup. Also I feel like I'm filling up way more then I should have too. I don't have any numbers on miles per gallon, but I filled up last night and reset the trip so we will see.

I have done maintenance to the car as I said in the other thread, and I've also swtiched to a K&N filter and have removed my silencer. I was reading and wondering what else if anything could be slowing it down? I know we don't own v8's but something just doesn't feel right. Could it be a bad cat or something to do with the exhaust? Im lost, but thanks for any help.

    Re: Last question.

Well the main source on finding out what health your engine is in,is to carryout a Compression tester check, and a leakdown test as a start.
