Ok, I just bought a 1998 Camaro. Its a 3.8 litre with 125,000 miles on it. The car runs great, but I would LOVE some more power out of it. I wanted a V8, but insurance rates made me get a V6. But, that's ok, because I have a 1970 GTO when I need to go fast. The Camaro is a school car, and I need it to be dependable and will be driven through the crappy Iowa winters and yet I would like some more power out of it. I am on a pretty tight budget. I am more worried about the paint than the performance. I don't want to spend any more than $300 on performance upgrades, BUT I CANNOT HARM THE ENGINE!!!! The car is too nice to blow up!!!!!! I need some reliable, good mods that will increase my HP and fuel mileage.

    Any help would be great!!!!!!

    Thanks!

      try this:

basic first mods: intake, exhaust, gears, lsd, alum driveshaft

for 300 you can get a nice catback for the car but that'll be about it.

read up around here, you'll find your answers.
