i've noticed how small the inside volume is on just about all the parts on the intake on the 3.4's. I've seen a few posts talkin bout possible mods, but i dont really know what a plenum and such parts are...just kno that the engine might as well be breathing through a slurpee straw...anyone got any cost effective ways a high school student could free up some breathin room and a few extra horses and still have money left for gas afterward?

Re: help on restrictive intake system??
the plenum is the upper intake manifold, looks like a v. it flows horrible. you can have it ported be even then the design of the intake is just crap. for more information on what you can do check here:

and of course, use the search funtion.
if youre on a budget, there wont be much you'll be able to do about it without spending some money.
if you want some extra power, put a catback on it and a cold air intake.
hope this helps.
