  • Installing a fuel pump on a 3.4l firebird?

Does anyone by chance have a how-to for changing out a fuel pump on a 93-95 3.4l motor. I can't find the instructions anywhere on the site.

I plan on using the access door method...how hard is changing the actual pump which I make the access door?

Does anyone by chance have pics of the installation process. If not how detailed are the instructions in the Haynes manual?

Also should I use an AC delco pump? I know it might be alittle bit more money...but I want it direct and fast of as an install as possible.

Yeah I saw that already. But that is for a 3.8, how similiar is it for a 3.4l?

Im not worried about cutting the actual access door, just worried how hard changing the actual pump will be.

Lucky you... my 01 fuel pump just died...
I had to pull exhaust, and drop the fuel tank(pump is conveniently located inside...). It took about 5 hrs, but i dont have a lift and had to use crappy jack stands with the spair tire jack! lol
...if only i had changed the fuel filter about 50k miles ago...
