bypass security/pass2 system

I have had the same problem for the last year that everybody is having.The security light comes on and the car does nothing. Could be 10 things wrong with the system.

thats bad ***. dont know what problems your were having but the idea of a push start is sweet. did you have a switch for ignition and another for starting? just to make sure i got what you did.

yes it is a seperate push button. you still use the stock ignition.

so do you still turn the key the push the button or flip a switch for the starter and then push the start button. sorry, im alittle confused about what your setup is.

ok, i read your other posts you made, so you turn the key to start everything electrical and stuff then push the start button to turn on the engine

It's your key more than likley, I was having the same issue but I went and had a remote starter put in. After time the chip in you key can become scratched, wet, or altered. When that happens it's pretty much done, meaning either you pay for another key, or live with the occasional occurence. I just never use my key until the car has already been started.
