im installing my pro 5.0 shifter, but i dont have any rtv red gasket maker. my question is that does the silicone sealant i get have to be red? is that like a certain "grade" that is idenntifiable by its red color? or can i just get any colored silicone sealant? thanks in advance

I used regular Black RTV sealant...it's pretty mcuh universal. I used it on my Hurst and it sealed the way I needed to.

Use whatever you have. For a shifter there are no big needs from your RTV.
