  • Car's been running hot lately, any suggestions.

In the past couple of days, my car has been running a little hot. I've had to turn on the heater just to drop the temp. I don't have a manual fan switch or a lower degreed thermo. Any suggestions of what could be in the makings of a disaster? No SES light BTW. My car is a 98 with 45000 miles on it. A4.

it might be a bad thermostat or your radiator could be clogging

im guessing this is just going to be another "my car is running at 210, what should i do?"

there is nothing wrong with worrying and asking cause i do it alot, i just think it will probably be nothing. but your right, a new thermo will probably fix it if its an actual over heating

If your car is routinely running over 210... get your thermostat checked and flush your radiator if you haven't done it within the past two years (regardless if you still use dexcool or not).
