Hi Folks,
Some of you may of seen my post that I bought a 96 firebird with a 3800 in it that didnt run. I finally got it running, sort of. (It needed a maf sensor, plugs and wires, and then me to realize I routed the #6 plug wire wrong and it melted.)
So i fix all that, no dummy lights or error codes so I take it out for a spin.
but she won't go past 3000rpms in gear, she revs fine in neutral and park. but in gear wont go past 3000rpms and about 40mph also getting there she doesn't go smoothly she goes rrrrr shhhhh rrrrr shhhh, like the car is actually telling me to "shhh!"
she did throw a code for a egr valve position or some bull S**t, so i put the egr on from the grand prix no more codes but same rrrr shhh rrr shhh. what is going on here?
