        Yo all,

I have MSD 8.5mm Superconductor wires. These are excellent except for one thing: If your 3.8 engine didn't come with the metal spark plug boot protectors like mine (97 Firebird 3.8 V-6) didn't, the boot on plug #6 will burn or crack due to the heat. I had 30,000 miles on my wires and that damn missing problem that kept coming back. I found out that the boot was cracked and burnt on #6 due to the heat. The fix I used was Design Engineering's Protect-a-boot on all 6 spark plug boots, replacing 4 of the 6 boots. I also used Napa's spark plug wire sheathing to protect the wires on plugs 4,6,1, and 3 from the boot until the wire looms. Check a post I had a couple of weeks ago for more information.

From what I've heard the Taylor 8mm are one of the best Bang for your Buck sets. These are whats going on my car when I do the tune up when it comes back.

I like the accel 8MM's myself...
i actually took the regular run of the mill DIY set, and trimmed them to stock sizes...30 bucks, not bad for accels

I use Jacobs Eletronic's pro fit plugs I like them and if they get burnt up I can get new ones for free the they have a life time warranty.

I custom cut/fit the 8mm Accells for my 3.8. They were on sale at my local Speedshop for $15. They work great.

Has anyone tested the resistance on a set of the Taylors or Accels? I am curious to see how the perform compared to MSD. I know that Jacobs is awesome, but I have heard that the Taylors offer a little too much resistance for a "performance" wire. I know that my MSD wires had less than 50 Ohms per foot.
