Ok well i have a 1994 firebird 3.4 auto. 129,000
My car suffers the most i nthe city and i could probably get about 10mpg if i drove it the way i want but if i drive it slow i still could only get about 16-17 max!!
Things i have replaced recently or in the past that are still good parts and in good condition.
-tires 275/40/17 w/SS wheels- yes those are worse for mpg i no.
-inflated good w/allignment
-ac fuel filter
-frequent oil changes
-spark plugs and wires
-New cooling system w/ 180* thermo (pump, radiator/hoses, thermo)
-seafoamed (every way)
-K&n CAI (clean filter)
-New cat
-flowmaster catback
-Bosch O2 sensors
-serpentine belt or w/e
-valve job w/ head gaskets
Thats basically it.
I havent replaced coils yet or egr valve which i have seen to help out mpg and all. But coils are alittle expensive for me right now and My car is running fine so i dont think there the problem. I do have a pretty big hill that i have to drive up and then down again to get to my house and then the same thing leaving my house and i no that could have a huge effect but i still manage to get ****ty mileage without even getting rpms above 3000k.
ALSO, when i warm my car up every morning because its cold, i leave it idling for like 10 min every time so by the time i get out if will run smooth and not bogg at all when i give it gas. Is there any way that my car might be running rich at times like these? I dont no enough about cars but im just guessing.
Any suggestions?
