    Re: Replacing A/C Compressor

i need to replace mine too.. my only concern is breathin the freon b/c i tried charging the system b4 i found out the compressor was trash. i've heard about people keeling over randomly after breathing that stuff. do you think i'll be good just venting it outside of the garage and letting the fumes dissipate b4 working on it?

      Re: Replacing A/C Compressor

How much do you think for shipping, and do you use paypal? I think I just need the compressor, accumulator, and the orifice tube. The shop told me that the compressor was bad and leaking. D_Fisher said in an earlier post to replace the accumulator and orifice tube when replacing the compressor, so I'll probably just do that.

I did it myself not that hard just the bolt in the back of the compressor is hard to get to cus of the manifolds if I remember correctly. If you do it yourself dont loose the 2 ring gaskets that come out of the back when removing the two in one hose.

correct and if your going to recharge it yourself you might need the compressor oil if it dont have any and the 134a freon.
