I have a 1997 3.8 and this weekend my dad and I changed my radiator fluid and put a new thermostat in..And ever since then my car has been running hot..I put a 180 thermostat and it running way past 210??? we have tryed everything possible, and it still runs hot..It WAS NOT running hot before we changed the fluid?? Any one have any suggestions??? :rolleyes:

did you bleed the air out?
there probably is not enough antifreeze in the system. check it one morning or when your engine is cool and see what the level looks like.
also, what thermo did you put in? if it's a 195 thermo, 210 isn't much higher and is kind of a "standard" for our cars anyway.2000 NBM M6 Camaro Z28<br />323/335

did you put in straight antifreeze or did you mix in water with it? and if you filled it up did you put more in there after letting it fill up the engine as well, i had to crank my truck let it run and then add more when the cycle kicked in and flowed thru the engine. also i hope to god you didnt install the thermostat backwards lol... just curious94 chevy truck - SOLD!!<br />92 toyota tercel - beater SOLD!!<br />88 Rx7 se - SOLD !!<br />88 MAZDA RX7 CONVERTIBLE NOW
