Ok guys. I have a 94 v6 firebird w/ 130,000 miles right now. I have a CAI and flowmaster catback. I have an auto tranny, and tends to shift hard into 2nd when its not fully warmed up, has been doing that since i can remember since i bought the car w/ 117k and the tranny fluid was changed @ 120k and still looks perfect. Also took it to a tranny shop back and they found metal shavings in the bottom of pan.
I have also replaced a good deal of things on this car to try and keep it running in the best condition i can with my budget. I have probably replaced all the most common maintenance parts such as filter, fluids, belts, tires, cat, ignition, cooling system replacement after blown head gasket.
The things i am scared about going bad are the following.
Tranny- hard shifts are from tranny seals as of what i heard and dont want it to get worse.
Suspension- My shocks are prob pretty worn and dont want to have to spend a Grand in replacing them all.
others- fuel pump, power steering pump (squeels alot but no leaks and fluid looks good) fuel pressure regulator, and ect.
If there is ANYTHING else that you would tell me that i should check out to see how good of condition it is or anything that will benefit me into haveing a more reliable car would help me alot. Beucase i dont wanna be stuck in a money pit as much as i love my car.
thanks.
