  • Windshield wiper problem *help fast*

Ok where to begin. This has been going on for the past couple of years.

Sometimes the wipers will work completly fine and other times they dont work at all. When i go to turn the wipers on nothing happens then i have to get out of the car and jiggle the blades a bit to make em start up(if i was lucky). Btw i never use to drive the car when it rained when the blades didnt feel like working(other car but do not have now).

I took everything apart today to figure out the problem and just gave up. Sometimes the motor would click and do nothing and others it wouldnt at all. Is it a bad switch? Everything else works such as blinkers cruise etc or is the motor shot?

It just seems to go through phases of working for weeks/months then stops for awhile

That would appear to make it not be the switch. I would tend to think there is something wrong with the motor

I had a similar problem on my Jetta. I greased all the joints and the problem went away.
