Re: yet another problem...
another update:
today i did a total Seafoam cleaning, including adding to crankcase oil, gas, and through the brake booster hose as described in the sticky thread. everything went as described but alas, hasn't solved my problem. filled up from 1/2 a tank today w/ premium octane and also and drove a little bit then replaced the fuel filter again. same problem though. so i had a 20 minute drive home tonight. when i was about 5 minutes drive away, I stopped the car and pulled the MAF sensor plug again. car wouldn't start with it unplugged, so I put it back in, started it, then unplugged it with the engine running. drove it around and my car behaved exactly as it did with or without the maf plugged in. So...does that pretty much rule out the MAF as the culprit? damn i'm frustrated...i just want it to be healthy again! aggh. looks like an expensive repair bill because i don't know what to do
