the floorboards in a camaro. Being a unibody I assume they play a vital role in the structure to the car...so if a 2' x 3' section of the drivers floorboard is missing, would the car be unsafe to drive?
Also, my pop can weld, would welding in some sheet metal effectively fix this problem?
lemmme...uh....try to understand this....uhm....you wanna buy a new camaro....but the twist is....it will have no floorboard?....and.....thats not stopping you in any...way?
Because a 90 HP 4 banger can barely move a fbody, a previous owner probably cut out the floor to flintstone it
Seriously I would avoid the 4 bangers. There is so little power (90HP?) and these are fairly large & heavy cars, I am having trouble thinking of anything else that would still be on the road that is slower. Unless it was in great shape and you plan on swapping the engine
Try to find a later 80's RS with a 305 TBI V8 instead.... Still only like 170HP in stock form and slower than our 3800's, but it'll be worth owning and putting your money into and have a nice rumble and be respectable. The TPI injection in some of the Z28's was even better but usually more expensive in good shape. 305 TBI's are almost a dime a dozen.
If you must have a 4 banger, perhaps its a parental limitation, then I'd say you should look elsewhere. For something cheap maybe a 1st Gen DSM (eclipse/talon/laser), the 1.8L SOHC is only 90hp but its a tiny car and really easy to work on not to mention dirt cheap just get a 5spd for more fun, the 2.0L DOHC has 130hp but harder to work on, and the turbos are even more fun. For RWD there are 4cyl Mustangs which are a little more tolerable than driving a 4cyl Camaro, and Nissan 240SX's seem popular.
Hey everyone! I've been trying to remove my transmission for two days now! I need to replace the clutch. Only thing I've got left holding the transmission...
Hello, so I changed the front bearings on the bird and the ABS inoperative light came on. I made a mistake of not removing negative battery cable. Now...
I usually have to double, triple my headlight switch for them to come up on my 97 Firebird. I cleaned all connections. Could it be the headlight switch...
