my door also has some bead of "glue" inside the door. They are fiberglass so you can't weld them.

Mine's been like that since I got it, and I've tried to glue it a few times but it hasn't worked yet. Hopefully someone can recommend a glue to use.

My rear hatch had the same issue. It came apart at one of the seams where the fiberglass is joined together. I used a 5 minute clear epoxy, glued it back together, clamped it in place for 2 hours and it has not come apart since.

Like nascar said your best bet is going to be some high strength epoxy.

Epoxy is the best, but proper surface prep will be key.

Lightly scuff sand both bonding sides with around 220 sandpaper or maybe a maroon scotchbrite pad to get a good surface.

Clean both surfaces with alcohol - you can get 90% or 99% isopropyl alcohol at the drugstore. Let the alcohol flash off for about 10-15 mins before you try to bond.

Make sure to be anal about the epoxy mix directions - going too far off the ratio will reduce bond strength.

Clamping is also a good idea if you can set it up. You might even want to pull the door off the pins so you can get it horizontal so the epoxy doesn't run.

you can go to a body shop and ask them what type of glue they use. This is part of how our cars are put together. The door skin is supposed to be glued to the door frame.

Thats exactly what I did to my door and its held together for 10yrs now. I used the two part 5 min epoxy, clamped it and let it set up overnight for 24hrs.

good luck trying to spot weld... our doors are made of a very rigid fiberglass.

epoxy is definately your best bet.

well the door is back together...used some green scotch epoxy. dressed up the surfaces with a grinder and drilled holes in the inside frame for the epoxy to ooze through and "grip" to. now i just have to get my window straight. the lil pin on the window cradle thingy that rides in the track up and down is bent so it comes out of track. thats subject for a different thread thou lol thanx for the advice guys.
