• Just bought a camaro

Hi, I just bought a 2000 Camaro v6 5 speed, fully loaded, with 59k miles on it. I payed $6300 for it and its in great condition. Just wanted to know if you guys think it was a good deal or not

Did you carfax it? Was it ever in an accident? Was the engine ever replaced, how old was the previous owner, how many owners did it have, with 59k miles, what kind of condition is the clutch in (if it's still original), has the oil been periodically changed with records showing, and what kind of engine work has been done to it...if any?

Oh, congrats on buying your camaro, but these are facts that you'll need to consider when buying someone else's car.

I don't mean to burst your bubble, I just cannot make the determination if your car was a good buy or not over the topic you posted. I wish you alot of luck with it though. F-Body's are great cars, along with most all other cars if they are taken care of properly.

If you want to know what your car has then check in the glove box. There should be a sticker with a bunch of 3 letter/number codes. You can reference them here. http://tech.firebirdv6.com/generalspecs.html

The ones people usally look for are these.

      GU5 AXLE REAR, 3.23 RATIO

Of course it's a good buy, it's a camaro! Great choice man with the m5. You don't know it yet but with the 2000, u saved a few headaches w/spark plugs. It could've been worse, he could've gotten a firebird. j/k

          Congrats!

Sticker isn't in the glove box on my 99 Camaro. It's on the inside of the driver door.
