  • pulsing coolant

When I open up my radiatior cap and let the car run until the thermostat opens up, the antifreeze begins to "pulse" up and down.

In my previous vehicles the antifreeze would just begin to flow in a certain direction.

Is this pulsing normal for a car with vehicle with a closed cooling system, or do I have a problem such as a bad water pump?

Is it just bubbling air out?

On my Z it was doing that. My thermostat was stuck closed and I changed it, waited for it to open and it still did that. Is this not normal???

Im guessing it must be on a closed system. Anyone have confirmation?
