Today I went and bought bosch platinum plugs, however, I'm in Hawaii and the pickings are slim for wires. I've only been able to find AutoLite. I've never heard of these wires before. My other problem is that the only size that I can find them in is 7.5 mm.. I'd like to know what the difference would be in performance if I went with 7.5 instead of the common 8mm.. Any info will be greatly appreciated.
return all of it.. go to the dealership and get the factory plugs and wires. its a bit pricey, but you wont regret it

I say keep the plugs, try the bosch platinum +4 plugs and then go to www.thunderracing.com and get some wires. The taylor ones are good. Do a search on the modification database and you can find the part number, etc for the stuff.

i wouldnt go for factory its a rip off.....ive always ran autolites on every car ive driven and have never had a complaint....the oem says use their plugs they are "specially" designed for the car haha mostly likely so you will just buy their plugs and wires. Im not crazy about bosch pulgs but autolites are good plugs and wires

Amen. I've been running the bosch +4s for awhile now and my car actually seems to run a little smoother. Dont' ask, I don't know. But the Autolites are what I've been using too. 99.9% of the time the only difference between a 7.5 and an 8 is the insulation. The only real reason you'd need that extra half a milimeter of insulation is if the wires are interfearing with your radio. But like I've said, the Bosch and the autolites have never given me a problem.
These "factory is better guys" are raised in the old school. (no offense, I promise) In the past, factory parts were always at least thought to be better. If you owned a ford, you bought ford parts, if you owned a GM you bought GM parts. Makes sense, who better to buy from? But nowadays with all the R&D money spent by other companies who specialize in little things like plugs or just wires, the technology is just as good if not better.
It's true your car was designed to run on the factory spec stuff...like what you'd buy at a dealer, but hey, if we were all running completely factory built cars we wouldn't exactly be on this board, now would we? :D
Just my two cents,
Ryan

well...i have the 3.8 and it has a tendency to spark right through the insulation..so im running 10mm wires now. they are factory, just the supreme ones.. they are da bomb..
