I have no idea whats goin on here... ive checked all of the electrical outputs, and everything looks normal, maybe the ac clutch went out? the knob works just fine in every other setting, and it sends a signal when its switched to an ac setting...the fuse doesn't engage, so there is a problem before the fuse somewhere i think, i checked the fuse and it works just fine.
the ac just dosnt engage...at all.
does anyone have any ideas?
With a set of AC manifold gauges. Since you obviously have no idea what I am talking about I would highly sugest taking the car in for a pro to look at. AC is not something that people should be playing with. not only is it dangerous you could end up making a lot more problems for yourself then what you started with.
i understand that completely...i was just curious to know if there was anything i could do myself. i had planned on taking it in if it was too involved...thanks anyways
it doesnt have to be the clutch. could be very low on freon and low pressure switch is not letting compresser turn on.

This is not fool proof, but while watching the A/C compressor, have someone turn the A/C on and off. You should be able to see and hear the clutch activate/deactivate.

Just for clarification (and not meaning to pick on you) fuses don't engage. They are always "engaged" until excessive current draw breaks them. Relays on the other hand are the electrical devices that engage and disengage. Just thought I would clear that up for you.
even if you had the freon changed, it could have leaked enough to have insufficient pressure to engage the clutch. or you could have fried the relay, which wont engage the clutch.

sorry..i didnt mean to say the fuse didn't engage, it was the clutch, and i did check it, or tried anyways, and i dont see or hear anything. It is very possible that the freon has leaked and there isnt enough pressure, better go get it checked i guess. thanks for all the help guys
This is why I told you to check pressures. When you have no oil pressure whats the first thing you check? if you have oil. Same goes for ac. Have an AC problem? Check the pressures. If you don't your simply wasting your time and efforts.
