i have a 95 3.4 maro, mine usually tries to spin the passenger side tire, but i figured out that a 5-10 mph roll and then rolling into the gas and brake at the same time gets both tires loose and spinnin, then just let ur rev's spool up and u got a good smokie goin woohoo! i try not to spin the new pirelli's too much thou $$$$ paid too much lol. good luck on the line lock install bro

I am on other message boards where people actually try to be helpful. As opposed to building themselves up by trying to tear other people down. I don't know who the "are you 16?" comment was directed at....... I'm 27, I've been playing cars since I was 16, and I, just like alot of other people enjoy a good smoke show. Aside from the fact that if you want to drag race heating up the tires is kinda, sorta important. If you have so much bottled up anger that you have to unleash it on a complete stranger about the way they treat their own vehicle maybe you should seek professional help instead of spending time on the internet..........

          Its te brakes...

the brakes on your 96 are nothing like the brakes on your 2k. I cold roast the tires on my 94 all day, on my 3.8L I will sometimes stall it out...

try only putting half pressure on the brakes...

I just rev it up to 3k, drop the clutch, spin the wheels, then stab the brake, then let off and I get a decent rolling burnout. Usually enough to clean/heat my street tires up at the track, nothing major. But I have a 5-speed.

I attempt not to burn out my tires.

to me its just wasting tire and brake and transmission life.

            but its all good.
i love watching other people burn out.

Who are you ted kennity? Burn outs are fun and look nice. If you dont want to do it to your car then dont, but why bother somone esle for doing somthing they enjoy.

And wtf are you so stupid about this, she was just saying that he was tryin to ask a simple a question and stupid people like you kept making stupid comments like why try. Who cares if he wants to put the stress on his own car. Thats why its his car & not yours.

Oh and btw dont feel so down about the burn out. Just takes some practice. I have a 1998 auto and had trouble the first few times but when i got it right heres the result: http://youtube.com/watch?v=hoq1MhmOPGk

Just try to find that perfact breaking point where the engine can go into high RPMs while holding the car still. if you find it you can take it up to redline & then shifting into 2nd & keep it going.

I think you need to get a LSD and start doing real burouts, before telling other people how to do them with a LSD.

agreed, doing them when you actually have BOTH wheels spinning is a little different, a blind, def, one legged man could burnout with a one wheel wonder, its nothing special

                        LOL ths thread is great...

Who cares if the guy stresses his car... what the **** else are cars for, I mean netral dropping is dumb eventually but I'd rather beat a car and enjoy it, then baby it. I hate people that baby it....

worst thing i ever saw was on cz28.com that a guy with an ls1 saying he has yet to take the car over 4500 rpms and he has had it for years.

Run it, enjoy it, beat it, break it, fix it... thats what these cars about imo...

If you can't enjoy a simple burnout then you got issues....

Ever think about the tire sizes?? Maybe your 96 had some small tires on it so it was easier to smoke em.

i think it's safe to say 2 smaller tires have more grip than one slightly bigger one...

Gee, at gas at $3.00 a gallon that seems like not so appropriate anymore, I mean things have changed ....maybe U didn't get
