My 97 3.8 A4 vert has this annoying rattle. It is most pronounced on startup and cold idle, rattling on and off. When the car warms up, it almost totally goes away. I can't totally pinpoint it either....it isn't the cat heat shield, the fuel tank heat shield, the X-brace (for verts).

Could it by the Y-pipe? Is that a common 3.8 problem? Where does the Y-pipe usually vibrate from?

I got underneath my car today and since it is 90* out I guess whatever is rattling has expanded and doesn't rattle right now  I took some pictures though. I found that where the S-pipe connects to the I-pipe has water around the area and is leaking from the combustion water inside of the exhaust. Is this normal?

Yeah it is actually very humid in my area right about now. I'm gonna get under the car again to see if I can still find anything
