  • Shocks - Best to get?

I'm researching to see what would be the best Shock for my maro, any ideas?

I hear alot of good things about HAL and Bilstein. HAL's are pretty expensive, but I believe they're probably the best ones, they're adjustable as well.
Bilsteins are still good shocks though but I don't think they're adjustable (at least the front/rear package).

I have Bilstein HD on mine. They can be modified which is important if you want a coilover setup. They are the best as a daily driver. I hear HALs are very nice too and give you options if you road race or drag race. And of course there are always Koni's double adjustable. It just depends how much money you want to spend.
On all these adjustables, even the softest setting is still better than stock.

I put KYB AGX all around on mine and I love them. I like the stiffer suspension feel and the fact that you can just reach around the back of the wheel and adjust the stiffness is very cool.

Sam Strano knows an awful lot about shocks for fbodies (he's a successful guy in autocross) and will talk to you on the phone. Tell him what you want to do with the car and how much you're willing to spend. He sells everything from $100/set KYBs to $1200/set double adjustable Konis.

Hal's OWN. I've had them for about 6k miles and love them. 12 stiffness settings is all I have to say.
