u ever been in a car with loose steering, when u can jiggle the wheel while driving but the car doesnt turn?

what causes that too happen and how an u fix it and make the steering tight again?

My old Blazer was like that. There's a rubber coupling like that eventually gets wornout. It was very easy to replace. Don't know if our cars are like that or not, so........

my sisters 02 silverado z71 is like that...i can drive with 1 finger :)

the dodge truck is like that too. I've been told it's like that for a reason. It gives you less input from the road, so the steering wheel doesn't move so much with the bumps and ruts of the road.

i say you get the rack/pinion from a z28/y87 car...that will tighten up your steering nicely :)

Also check the rubber on the idler arm.
